They are also identified as providers of significant positive externalities from farm to fork. Hence ruminant livestock farming and the corresponding food products are at the heart of sometimes much-heated controversy and tension. This symposium provided an opportunity to explain the issues at stake and the reasons for these differences in perception and assessment. The speakers, scientists, experts, farmers, representatives of civil society, and businesses, presented an overview based on current scientific knowledge, particularly on the issues of climate metrics and biodiversity, but also on nutritional issues, in order to inform the current conversation around livestock farming, meat and dairy products, with nuance. ![image vaches paysage estival](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hs-fs/hubfs/image%20vaches%20paysage%20estival.png?width=1536&height=1024&name=image%20vaches%20paysage%20estival.png "image vaches paysage estival") ##### Highlights ![Capture décran 2025-07-31 143234](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Capture%20d%C3%A9cran%202025-07-31%20143234.png?width=1587&height=1027&name=Capture%20d%C3%A9cran%202025-07-31%20143234.png) ## Program and speakers [Find out more](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hubfs/invitation%20conf%C3%A9rence%2020250514%20nouveaux%20regards%20sur%20%C3%A9levage%20prairies%20assiettes_vf.pdf?hsLang=en) ![pour Rym - site du Fonds-1](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hs-fs/hubfs/pour%20Rym%20-%20site%20du%20Fonds-1.png?width=693&height=393&name=pour%20Rym%20-%20site%20du%20Fonds-1.png) ## Get the replay [Find out more](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Sd6YfchgY4466of179puEdAa6mNNn7jAjjQ9ZcRUW7U/edit) ![presentation colloque](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hs-fs/hubfs/presentation%20colloque.png?width=1961&height=1210&name=presentation%20colloque.png) ## Conference presentations [Find out more](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hubfs/20250514_Colloque%20Elevage_Fonds%20Solid%20Grounds%20%26%20Planet-score_complete-vf_ni.pdf?hsLang=en) ###### Additional resources ![Capture décran 2025-05-14 104535](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Capture%20d%C3%A9cran%202025-05-14%20104535.png?width=1453&height=1036&name=Capture%20d%C3%A9cran%202025-05-14%20104535.png) ## Pourquoi les ruminants extensifs sont centraux pour des systèmes agrialimentaires durables en Europe Poux X., 2025 [Get the file](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hubfs/Synth%C3%A8se_m%C3%A9thane_ruminants_AScA_OFB_V5.1-1.pdf?hsLang=en) ![Capture d’écran 2025-05-28 à 16.40.27](https://solidgrounds-institute.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Capture%20d%E2%80%99%C3%A9cran%202025-05-28%20%C3%A0%2016.40.27.png?width=932&height=1302&name=Capture%20d%E2%80%99%C3%A9cran%202025-05-28%20%C3%A0%2016.40.27.png) ## Comportement du méthane dans l’atmosphère et analyse des enjeux techniques du PRG100 et du PRG\* -application au secteur des ruminants en France et en Europe.
